ang busong

i watch "busong" last weekend. story is simple and placid, its like our simple interpretation of karma, one character does something bad and bad karma will strike, then one will say "na busong sya". the only visual candy on the film is when Alessandra de Rossi's charcter Punay got cured, there were butterflies coming out from her wounds as if the butterflies were coming out from their cocoon. Alessandra was so stunning..

july 02 narrative.

i never planned to watch Transformers 3, probably in a pirated dvd but not in the big screen or if someone will have the heart to buy me tickets. its not a crappy movie, i think it's a great movie. but i dont know, it just wont go inside my neurons.
yesterday, the plan was simple. finish the two-week old laundry and watch Departures. the laundries went fine, it was almost noon when it. i took a little nap and went to Shangri la. i know its  saturday and i did expect a lot of people in the cinema specially if its free. but i guess my expectations are not enough. the look of the place is stressing enough. i queue my self in the line to fetch my tickets, there was only five person left in front of me when thy announced that theres no more tickets. i remembered the same thing happened to a few years ago when i attempted to attend a high-light film in a festival. i'll just cross my fingers and hope to find a dvd copy of Departures, sulk up and left the cinema place.
i remembered some friends nagging me to watch Transformers in Trinoma. it was still early but i'm too lazy to go back home and sleep so i took a bus going to Trinoma hoping that the traffic will kill time. the traffic killed time but i guess i need a massacre. the meet up time is 8pm i was in Trinoma around 5pm. the mall was packed, i walked around and happily found PowerBooks where i killed more time up until 8pm. we had dinner and went to the cinema lobby and queued ourselves only to find out the tickets are sold out. i'm not making a big deal out of it by my friends are so i was out numbered and was dragged to SM North. one of the friends rushed to the ticket booth to check for available tickets only to be told the same story. the friends are in panic and almost hyperventilating. me being the not so usual supportive friend encourage them to check other movie sched. and by the power of wifi vested in a phone, one friend found a 10.30pm screening in Gateway. its quarter to 10pm already. so we rushed outside SM North, freakishly theres not much queue in the taxi bay so we got a cab in less than 10mins and went to Gateway. i finally arrived in Gateway and rushed to to the cinema, it was like amazing race. 10.30pm screening is out, there still seat available for 11pm but there are only  few seats available and all are scatted all over the cinema. alas! theres a screening for 12mn which offers better selection of seats.

i was like, seriously? but i guess theres always a first time. so 12mn it is.
and what do expect in a sleep deprived person who went to a 12mn screening of a movie that he's not excited to watch to begin with. the moment the light were out. i was snoozing. at least woke up to the last part where optimus prime was almost killed. it was almost 3am when we finally got out of the cinema. we goof around Makati afterwards. we looked like some wasted group of friend who came out from drinking session in Malate. the sun is out. we decided retire. it was 6am already.
