ang loro sa palay

Pico de Loro

Mt. Palay - Palay

Ternate, Cavite

i read a blog that says that Mt. Palay - palay is an easy climb, much easier that Mt. Pulag. who ever wrote that blog should go to hell. by far this the hardest, Pulag was walk in the park compared to Mt. Palay - palay, of course that through the Ambangeg trail. the culprit of the trek is a petite woman with dark wavy hair and has an infectious smirk. when she post a picture in facebook announcing the trip, i thought it was just a joke so i ask her to let me join. the following day, she gave the a draft plan and next thing i know the trip was already set for the weekend. its too late couldnt backed out.

while on the trek, i learned that our guide is marine and a portion of Mt. Palay - palay is their training grounds so he knew the area even if he's blindfolded. i remembered that the culprit of the trip works in a military office and rumors said that she's some sort of a boss with a military rank as well, i'm not the prying type so i didnt ask her to confirm anything, now its making sense how she had this guide that easily volunteered to be our guide for free. i was almost out of breath when we reached the peak but that only a part of a bigger picture, the real challenge is to climb the huge boulder of rock right beside the peak. and so we did climb it, took some pictures and trek down the mountain. my legs are so killing me when we reached the grounds and my head is starting to spin so i help myself and lay down the ground just right beside the road while waiting for our ride.

before heading back to the manila, we did a detour in a nearby beach which is inside the marine camp. the group was planning to a have short swim but the coast is infested with jellyfish so we just resolve ourselves goofing around the beach.
